Career Development Fellow

I am a Career Development Fellow in the Materials department with a strong interest in obtaining mechanical properties from small volumes of material.

Within nuclear I work to look at the effect of radiation damage on the motion of dislocations in bcc materials (Be, W) through nanoindentation and in-situ cantilever bend testing.

I also have a long standing collaboration with Dr Ross Springell (Bristol) and Prof Pete Nellist (Oxford) working on advance microscopy of point defecets in irradiated uranium dioxide.

I am in an office in 21 Banbury Road but you will often see me down in the EM suite in the Holder Buliding.
